SNOODS are my best friends!!!

Sorry to be so quiet recently...

so to not feel so guilty, I have prepared a long and busy post!!!!

The weather is not bad lately...

still cold but SUNNY,

it's like to be born again!

Straw basket is out again after a long winter....

You must have noticed that I'm wearing snoods a lot.

I think that they are the best option when you don't want to set your hair!

My hair are really not easy, not curly, not flat, really freezy...

so snoods are so convenient when I don't want to put rollers.

Some followers wanted to know where I buy mines.

The best are for me the ones created by Naomi from Arthelia's attic.

I have just ordered some new shades for VLV!

Acrylic's ones are my favorites and give a real 40's look.

Visit her ETSY shop and

don't hesitate to contact her for a custom order: special colors, to add pearl or rhinestones, for different bow colors....

On these pictures, Sylvain is wearing my birthday present for him.

It's that gabardine coat from the 40's.

He really LOVED it

and I felt relieved that it fitted like a glove.

This jacket is like new, look at this gold lining!!!

He paired it with nice pattern vintage slacks.

You must have noticed another present from me...

this nice 40's tie with a mexican theme!

I'm wearing more blue recently.

perhaps hoping for a more blue skies!

it will be really soon for us....

we are leaving for California in a few days!

So I was really busy this week-end to get my suitcase ready.

I hate that so much:
cleaning, ironing, trying to pick as few as possible...

but with VLV it's so difficult,

you want to pack all your wardrobe!!!

As I'm really stressed with my suitcase....

Sylvain has still nothing prepared....

he is always so calm and not worry,

we are really 2 opposites!

Hope you liked this small chapel in the middle of now where!

Do you like to wear snoods?
What colors do you wear the most?

  1. So cute. I have one snood but I need to get more. I really would love to find a good pattern and make my own. I think it will be a good choice during the spring since curls and rainy weather doesn't mix well!

  2. I love, love, love everything about this post ❤️❤️❤️

  3. Darling,
The chappel, the fashion, the mood - every single thing in this post is wonderful. :D Both of you look so smart, and I like the details (your man's tie &your bunny brooch).
I like the color of the chapel door, as a matter of fact that one answered your question- THAT is one of my favorite colors. :D

  4. Sylvain's jacket looks really dapper - you have a good eye for a jacket. I hope he had a good birthday. And I really like the weave on your dress; so subtly atomic.

  5. Such a lovely shade of blue! I have found that men are certainly more laid back about holidays and packing but at least you're organised! :)

  6. Very lovely outfits. What a blast to go to Viva, I can't wait to hear all about it!

  7. You bring so much joy with your vintage savoir faire! I think I need a snood in pink...

  8. You look so elegant, as always. And men never worry about packing, that's just how they are. Do not pack too much, this way you have an excuse to buy more. ;) Wishing you a lovely trip.

  9. I agree with you about snoods and my favorite ones are made by Arthelia's attic. Her snoods are the best I've been buying her snoods for years they don't break or stretch out like the cheap ones. I really like that they are handmade so I know the quality is very good and the size choices are very helpful since I have thin hair which does not hold up well in a regular snood.

  10. I never wore a snood ... maybe I should thinabout trying one.
As always you both look just stellar. I love the pieces you gifted to your man and i love to see all the blue on you. Blue ist just the best colur for us blondes. :)

I'm so excited for you guys, to go to VLV. Come back with a lot of pictures ... please, share with us who stayed at home.

  11. Snoods are a massive player in my vintage wardrobe, too. When I was still working with my real hair, they were a great way to hid it's thinining (in the back and sides) and in the years since becoming a wig wearer, they've been an awesome way to lead a deeper sense of realism to my faux locks, which of course still - and most importantly - channeling a fanatic mid-century look.

I own about fourteen snoods at this point in a rainbow of colours and find it tricky to pick just one favourite from them, though dusty rose, pine green, and tan all jump out at me right away.

You both look splendid and so ready to greet spring. I hope that things aren't too stressful with your VLV packing and that you guys have an amazing, fun filled time in the States.

    ♥ Jessica

  12. You both look amazing. I love the snoods. My hair is too short fur then.

I can't imagine how fab you'll look in LA
