READY for a NEW YEAR...

Sorry to have been away for such a long time...

but we have a little technical problem!

In fact, our camera got stolen about a month ago...

our car was broken in during a little trip in Brussels,

Fortunatly we had no luggage in the car...

only our camera in the glove box...

We have still an old one,

but it's hard to make good pictures with it...

impossible to take inside pictures without a blur...

same with bad weather pictures...

we are waiting for winter sales in january to buy a new one!

So here are pictures took yesterday with our old camera...

weather was just perfect for it, a bright and sunny day!

It was quite cold but we really prefer cold than rain!

Here was my outfit for a little shopping day.

A lot of retro girls ask me:

"But what do you wear to be warm with a vintage style?"

Simply WOOL!

My outfits are always all about red, green and gold before Xmas...

but for me silver means that New Year Eve is just around the corner!

That was the prefect outfit to match my new Splendette bangles

with my Luxulite brooch and earrings!

So festive without being too Xmassy!

I love pink...

matching it with gray and silver is a winning set!

I even found black with silver flecks stockings!

Not easy to stay warm in style!

I must show you one of my favorite part of this outfit...

this gorgeous fox lurex brooch!!!

It is from the french designer Léa Stein!

It's also not easy for Sylvain to stay warm with elegance!

His solution is layering

and also WOOL!

Gray and pink....

Perfect match...

one more time without even wanted it!

40's ties were just fantastic!

Bright and shinny colors, I understand why my hubby collects them!

Did you spend a nice Xmas?
Are you ready for the New Year?

BONNE ANNEE &
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

SHINY CADDY !!!

Today was another sad weather day...

That kind of days when you cannot plan anything...

as rain is just around the corner!

It's the season when it's hard to plan outfits...

It's as cold as in winter

but I really cannot abandonned my cotons dresses and skirts yet!

It's also the last couple of days when we will be able to go out with vintage cars!

Soon, snow will arrive and salt on roads with it!

As our '59 caddy was fully restored this year...

It will hibernate for a few months with its 3 "friends"

in our cosy garage!

When cold and rain arrive, I always dream to live in some sunny places...

I brought sun in my outfit with ...  CACTUS!!!

I built my outfit around a beautiful set:
necklace and matching earrings!

Another GORGEOUS creation from Bow & Crossbones!

Their cactus collection is just so fun

they could even customized mine with small red and gold pearls!

I really like that personnal attention!!!!

But how to match cactus with a winter outfit???

I chose that really full skirt...

I don't know how to describe this fabric...

Batik? Indian? African?

It's fun because I found this skirt in a thrift store in... Budapest!

It is from the 50's with no doubt seing its construction...

But it's really not an usual pattern!

I also wore this gorgeous vintage mexican cape.

My shoes are from Miss L Fire, a 40's flair with comfort!

And I cannot go out without a brooch!!!!

This lovely cactus is from Belle Lurette, 2 talented french ladies!

Sylvain is so happy that his "baby" is finally back home!

This Cadillac was his first vintage car...

he was just 19 years old when "she" arrived in his life!

An OLD couple!!!

The paint is SO shiny now...

a real miror!!!

And this time my hubby chose to match his car instead of me...

is it a sign???

Dispite of the cold, we had a pleasant photos shoot

with some good music!

We travelled a lot with this caddy around Europe...

and we hope to plan some new trips really soon with "her"!

Are you ready for winter?
Do you also own vintage cars?

FRENCH CORNER
- Bon week-end à tous! -
