That kind of days when you cannot plan anything...
as rain is just around the corner!
It's the season when it's hard to plan outfits...
It's as cold as in winter
but I really cannot abandonned my cotons dresses and skirts yet!
It's also the last couple of days when we will be able to go out with vintage cars!
Soon, snow will arrive and salt on roads with it!
As our '59 caddy was fully restored this year...
It will hibernate for a few months with its 3 "friends"
in our cosy garage!
When cold and rain arrive, I always dream to live in some sunny places...
I brought sun in my outfit with ... CACTUS!!!
I built my outfit around a beautiful set:
necklace and matching earrings!
Another GORGEOUS creation from Bow & Crossbones!
Their cactus collection is just so fun
they could even customized mine with small red and gold pearls!
I really like that personnal attention!!!!
But how to match cactus with a winter outfit???
I chose that really full skirt...
I don't know how to describe this fabric...
Batik? Indian? African?
It's fun because I found this skirt in a thrift store in... Budapest!
It is from the 50's with no doubt seing its construction...
But it's really not an usual pattern!
I also wore this gorgeous vintage mexican cape.
My shoes are from Miss L Fire, a 40's flair with comfort!
And I cannot go out without a brooch!!!!
This lovely cactus is from Belle Lurette, 2 talented french ladies!
Sylvain is so happy that his "baby" is finally back home!
This Cadillac was his first vintage car...
he was just 19 years old when "she" arrived in his life!
An OLD couple!!!
The paint is SO shiny now...
a real miror!!!
And this time my hubby chose to match his car instead of me...
is it a sign???
Dispite of the cold, we had a pleasant photos shoot
with some good music!
We travelled a lot with this caddy around Europe...
and we hope to plan some new trips really soon with "her"!
Are you ready for winter?
Do you also own vintage cars?
FRENCH CORNER
- Bon week-end à tous! -
Love your cactus inspired outfit! You are so fortunate to have three wonderful vintage automobiles. We have a 1954 MG TF that has been in my family since the 60's. It is a joy to drive a vintage car, but you do feel a responsibility to take care of it. I often stop by to see what you and Sylvain are up to and am never disappointed.
ReplyDeleteSo cool outfits on both of you! :) Love especially the cactus jewelry! :)
ReplyDeleteO my that is a gorgeous caddy and some amazing clothing! Those Miss L Fire Shoes are to die for!
ReplyDeleteYou too look lovely as always - and so does your car! I'm glad she has three friends in the garage. :)
ReplyDeleteits all great but I am swooning over the letterman sweater
ReplyDeleteThe print on the skirt is amazing! Of course the whole outfit is spectacular. And, three vintage cars? I am sooooo jealous :)
ReplyDeleteThis winter hits me really hard. I have the feeling it's darker and rainier than the years before ... Probably it's just me getting older and feeling uncomfortable with this season more and more.
ReplyDeleteYour exotic skirt looks amazing ... where ever it's fabric is originally from - it's too die for beautiful. so ist hte mexican cape. wow!
