ERSTWILDER brooches...

I saw with my last post that "jewels are a girl best friends".... thanks for your comments! So why not speak a little more about costume jewelery!!!

So here is how I was dressed yesterday....

I especially chose this outfit to match a new brooch that I received a few day ago: vintage late 40's dress with a felt hat, a quite patrotic outfit, isn't it?

So here is the brooch that I'm talking about.... I really fell in love with this design when I saw it on internet! It's not a vintage one but just a retro design made in resin and designed by Louisa Camille for ERSTWILDER.

This is the cute box I receive from Australia....

I ordered 2 new friends all handmade with resin with a great vintage look!

To match my brooch, I choose this lucite and straw basket, it is one of my favorite handbag and I have worn it many, many times!

After about 40°C (100° F), the weather is now cool and rainy...

I really love to match accessories and colors, I usually chose the piece that I want to wear (here this rabbit brooch) and after I build the complete outfit by choosing a dress, hat, belt, bag, umbrella, glasses and jewels....

You must have notice my ART DECO necklace... it's a special one for me. It's made of gold, sapphire and real pearl, it was offered to my husband's grandmother  for her wedding in the 30's!!!!

This hat comes from a thrift store bought for 1 euro.

Some pictures of my lovely photograph....

He was wearing a late 40's shirt.

Soon the end of summer and we must enjoy a bit more our garden.

Just to speak a little bit more about ERSTWILDER, I was really pleased with these 2 brooches and I'm planning to buy some more in a near future... My next purchase will be this jaguar for sure!!!!

But there are so many others designs.... It's really nice to discovered a new brand like this!!!

Can perhaps ask my Santa Claus husband  more of them for Christmas....

Do you know ERSTWILDER?
Can you fall in love with theirs designs like me?

HOW TO STORE VINTAGE JEWELLERY

I have quite a lot of vintage jewellery... not pricey jewels made of gold and diamonds... just simple costume jewellery from mid 20th century....

I like to find some fun and retro ways to store them safetly!

For example, most of my bangles are stored on vintage hat holders. Nice to see and easy to choose one when needed.

I also have many vintages boxes like this one... also bought from flea markets. This one is quite atomic!

And here is my earrings turnstile.... also found in a local flea market! I don't know what it was for at the beginning but I knew that I would use it like this when I bought it. Must be from the 50's or early 60's...

Most of my jewels come from flea markets and were bought for just a few cents or some euros for the best ones...

I must soon find another way to store them because it becomes really full!!!!

I like bakelite as everybody but I don't understand why prices raised so much... I really prefer buying for the same price 100 pairs of plastic earrings at flea markets than one bakelite bangle...

I also have some vintage lucite holders to put jewels that I wore last few days before storing them properly...

Here is how I store some of my vintage brooches....

I think that this box was to store bobbins for sewing machines... but it's just perfect like this!

These lucite bracelets are from the USA most bought from Ebay... I use a funy MINI 50's table to display them.

And here is my biggest treasure....

Somebody told me that this vintage box was used by photographers to store their films... This was a present from my husband...

I can store safetly all my sets and my charms bracelet....

For my hat pins I use this small poodle...

So as you can see you must use your brain when you see something in a flea market to perhaps use it in many ways... I really prefer storing my jewels in a vintage way than in modern untastefull boxes!

How do you store your costume jewellery?
What do you think of my way to store mine?
