A wish come true....

Have you ever dream to find a special piece of vintage clothes?

For me, I have always dreamt to find a felt circle skirt...

I must tell you that my dream come true at VLV vendors room.

My husband was also lucky while shopping in Vegas.

Look at his amazing jacket!

I always wished to have a 24 or 26'' waist because that's the size of most circle skirts of the 50's...

Created for teenagers, they are so hard to find in a larger size.

But after years of search, I finally find one!!! Yeah!!!!

It's not only my size...

but it's also gorgeous...

and in excellent condition!!!

Most of the time they are dammaged with moths holes and with appliques not so well done...

I bought it at the last minute sales in VLV, in sunday evening you really can make good bargains!
In fact I had almost 40% off on this skirt because of a stain in the front, I was really not sure if I would be able to remove it, but I could not let it go... MY size!!!!

And I won, I could easily remove the stain at home...

I love all these flowers appliques with sequins!

Sylvain found a lot of 40's ties during our trip.

They are really like pieces of art!

Love his style!!!

I bought this 50's orlon bolero in a thrift store in Pomona for $1....

This 50's hat seems to be made of fur or perhaps swan feathers, not sure.

Oh, did you notice that I cut my hair?

Some friends came to visit us from Paris last week-end...

We could finally enjoy the first real spring days together...

What piece do you dream to find one day?
Are you a circle skirts fan?

  2. Gorgeous skirt, you look just divine in it! I long to find a 1940's long white jersey dress like Barbara Stanwyck wears in Double Indemnity..

  3. I adore vintage circle skirts! I have one that is black taffeta with a velvety floral design. Mostly I make my own though since the vintage ones are hard to find in my size too. Yours is gorgeous!

  11. Oh, gorgeous!! I love the details. I found my vintage dream finds from a local lady who vends at VLV (Donnaland Vintage Variety) a 1940's corde bag and a fab lucite and metal woven purse. She lets me dig through her goodies before she heads off to Viva so I get to Viva shop without going to vegas! :P My next dream find is a hand painted mexican circle skirt- LOVE them!!

  17. What a terrifically lovely gem of a felt circle skirt! I know just what you mean. I have a fairly average sized waist, but 24" I am not, and I've passed up more circle skirts than I can count over the years because of it. I'm super happy that this "holy grail" item finally came your way, dear gal! (It's sooooo pretty!)

Congrats to your honey in his terrific new jacket, too!
