ON and... UNDER water....

Here is our second day in Venice...

But the weather was worst than the past one...

So I have to find a solution for my outfit....

I brought one per day but only one pants.

Impossible to wear peep toes wedges or a skirt/dress...
so wet and windy...

So I only changed my scarf turban, my sweater and my accessories...

I was a bit dissapointed to not be able to wear the dresses I planned but just for a few minutes...

Venice is so AMAZING even under rain!

We spent 6 days there...

we travelled with RYAN AIR, so plane was cheap...

but I must tell you that it's not a cheap city, hotels and restaurants are quite expensive!

We were amazed to see such big ships so close to this fragile city...

I'm pretty sure that it's not good for this old lady!

Here is Sylvain and his mother...

in front of the Grand Canal.

I had the good idea to bring with me one of my vintage umbrella, really usefull!

With 6 days, we had time to visit a lot of places and museums...

but what we enjoyed the most was to get lost in all those small streets!

All details were really enjoyable!

Look at this door handle!!!

We saw some strange shoppes...

 and met fun artists!

What is really great about Venice is that's a place without cars!

But my husband could compensate this lack with some other motor vehicules...

We saw some really beautiful boats!

Do you know what is Aqua Alta in Venice?

It's when a part of the city is under water...

This happens usually not before November...
but we were lucky ... or unlucky... to experience that on San Marco place!!!

And finally weather became a bit more friendly...
To be continued...

What did you enjoyed the most if you have already visit Venice ?
Which other city would you like to visit ?

Vivo VENEZIA !!!

Sorry for this long time since my last post....

I was so busy!

Moreover I had to select so many pictures from our last trip to Venice.

I have decided to share them with you day by day to be able to present our every days outfits.

Venice is such a beautiful city so I don't think you will be bored!!!

We shared this trip with Sylvain's familly...

His parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary...

and invited their children to share this special moment with them!

And is there a place a most romantic than "Venezia"????

Early October is known to be one of the best time of the year to visit this special city.

But I must tell you that we expected a better weather...

It was about the same weather than at home but more than 1000km further South!

The first day was windy and wet :-(

Despite having studied closely weather on internet before departure, I understood fast that I didn't choose the perfect outfits to place in my suitcase!

But with this type of weather, no mosquitoes or nasty odors that you can find there in summer!

That was our first trip in Venice.

The first thing that Sylvain said was:

"It's trully like a real life Disneyland!!!"

So true!!!

A city dedicated to tourists...

Absolutly out of time!!!

To be continued...

Have you ever been to Venice ?
Do you want to know something special about this city ?

Vintage escapade in BRUSSELS...

We were quite absent from this blog last week...

But we have a good excuse!!!

We were on vacation in Venice (Italy)!

That was an AMAZING trip...

We have a lot of pictures to share but I need time to select the best ones for you!

So to make you wait, here is a few pictures from a day we spent in Brussels in September...

As weather was supposed to be really nice, we decided to spend a day of shopping in the belgian capital just the day before...

We had a lot of sun but a coat is now needed... that was the first day of fall....

I bought this 40's coat many years ago in a vintage shop in Paris.

That's really a basic, large shoulders...

nice embroideries...

and the back is really breathless!

I wore a 40's velvet topper.

I like to wear red with black...

This vintage cotton dress is  from the 50's.

Black and red with really small pink flowers, LOVELY!

My cute doggy from ERSTWILDER fits perfectly my outfit!

Another lovely 40's tie for Sylvain!

We were a bit dissapointed with Brussels' flea market, it used to be really better.... but we spent a nice day!

And we still found some nice things: records, a toaster cover, 40's-50's dresses, an vintage amazing coat, a 50's hat, some vintage jewels....

We took those pictures in the park of  "cinquantaire", where there is a nice vintage car museum called AUTOWORLD, you must visit it if you go to Brussels!

Have you ever been in Brussels?
Do you often go to impromptu escapades?
