I'm a reporter!!!...

And here is the news that I promised in this post: I'm a reporter now but of course not a professional one...
I was contacted last month by the editor of the french magazine POWERGLIDE to have my own chronic in every issues. It's a magazine about vintage custom cars and hot-rods, it's not what I love the most but the editor is a friend who is trying to write more about vintage in each issues and now he is even trying to give a girl touch in this temple for men!!!

So I will have a page for me and the tittle of my chronic is ECHOES OF THE PAST.

I really had not so much time to write my first page because we had to live for the US that's why I had to speak about a subject that I love and that I well know : the french Concours d'Elegance. It was also one of my first post on this blog!

I will advise you two books on the subject.

One for french people here:

and this one in english for the other here:

My husband has also a chronical in this magazine called "Vintage America" dealing with cars, architecture, design...

I don't know what will be my subject in the next issue I have to find another glamorous idea!!!

Have you ever write in a magazine?
Can you give me some ideas for my next chronic?

  1. Congratulations! That is so great. I've never been a reporter but I imagine it is really neat to know that your words will be read by lots of people.

  2. Congratulations! No, I've never written for a magazine...

Why don't you write the story about your own relationship with cars and vintage? A kind of introduction to you!

  4. Congratulations for your new writing job^^
Cars is a difficult subject. I guess my boyfriend would know a lot to write about it though^^
You could write about your dream car and why you love it so much. Of course for us girls it would be more about colours, shapes and intererior^^ Or you can try to find out about the cars of some past times celebrities: What kind of car did Audrey Hepburn, Donna Reed, Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe (or any other girl you like) drive/ride?
Good luck with all the further issues^^

  5. Oh, I can write about all girly things that I want not only about cars: fashion, celebrities... So it must be linked with vintage that's all!
