Our US trip was amazing, not the best weather ever but the shopping was good and we met so many friendly people!
I'm now tired and a bit ill but who cares, I have my head full of nice souvenirs!!!!
We took over 2000 pictures... so I will have to make several posts to share with you all the best moments!
Let's start with San Francisco where our trip began.
We were already there about 15 years ago! Wow, time flies...
I love this city really atypical with nice victorians houses, its China town and these streets shown so often in US movies!
I really love China town and cannot stop myself to think about how was this area in the 40's-50's... I really love chineese fashion of these era so beautiful silk fabrics..
I was a bit surprised to see so many homeless people in town. Some people explained to us that it's due to special laws here in SF. It's quite a pity to see so much poverty...
We visited of course the most touristic areas: the Coit Tower, the Painted Ladies, Lombard Street, Pier 39, Golden Gate Park, Palace of Fine Art...
We also enjoyed shopping in Haight Street and on Valencia.
There are just 5 shoppes that are worth to be visited for 40's and 50's lovers and the prices are a little bit high, but I found one 50's summer suit, a winter 40's one and a cute 50's NOS sweater but not the best bargains ever.
I met a lot of nice bloggers during our trip and the first one was Kim who works at La Rosa Vintage.
My husband spent a few hours in AMOEBA to hunt for vintage doo-wop 45rpm for our juke-box!
The old fashionned tramways and cable cars are also a thing to enjoy when you are in Frisco!
Très bon retour à vous deux.
ReplyDeleteVite, partagez vos superbes trouvailles.
I've always wanted to go to San Francisco. I live about 5 hours from there. You two looked fabulous as always.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!
ReplyDeleteWe just came back a week before you from our trip to the USA. It was our honeymoon and we did a road trip through six of the southern states- it was fantastic! We had more luck than you with the weather and it had always up to 35 degrees! I was in San Francisco in 2004 and I guess one day we´ll go there again.
You look fabulous on your photos and I can´t wait to see more photos of your trip!
Welcome home! Great looking photos!
ReplyDeleteOhh, how fun! My husband and I want to go to San Francisco one day, maybe in a year or two for a vacation. I love all your photos, I can't wait to see more!
