SOUTHERN BELLE...

After a few days of spring, hot summer is here!!!
Madine 2013
The best time of the years to enjoy a ride in our vintage cars...
MADINE 2013

Sylvain tried hard to convince me to drive with him in his Lincoln...

MADINE 2013

I think I have already mentionned how I dislike convertibles....
too hot, too windy...

MADINE 2013

Probably the most glamorous cars but not really practical....

MADINE 2013

We was driving to a vintage carshow in country side...

50s HAT

We got lost and found an amazing place!

7 JUIN 2013

That's an american military cemetery.

SOUTHERN BELLE

That was such a peacefull place!

AMERICAN EAGLE

Everything in pristine condition with gorgeous gardens.

WWI MEMORIAL

That's a WWI memorial.

MEUSE TOURISME

It reminds me when we visited Washington DC some years ago.

LOBSTER SHIRT

There are a lot of this kind of military cemeteries where we live.

40s HAWAIIAN

That's always really impressive to see so many white crosses...

PIC NIC

Let's return to something more joyfull: picnic!

1950 CAMPING

In a vintage style of course!!!!

GRAMOPHONE

We were with friends around a lake.

LAC DE MADINE

They are big vintage trailers fans!

I have always like their '55 Cadillac.

CADILLAC 1955

This car was the bride's car for our wedding 7 years ago!

MADINE 2013

There were not so much american cars at this vintage cars meeting.

MADINE 2013

But we manage to find some good ones and put some ads for our own vintage car show CRY BABY!!!

CADILLAC

A few words and details about my outfit...

1950s

This hat is french new old stock from the 40's!
I LOVE huge hats!!!!

circle skirt

I bought this 50's squaw circle skirt on Etsy.

50S PURSE

I like these king of wickers from the 50's-60's often made in Hong-Kong, they are much more roomy than usual vintage purses!

PINK 50S

My shoes are repro from Rockets Original.

MADINE 2013

That gave me a total southern belle style like my husband said!

MADINE MOTO

Sylvain finally could enjoy one of his hawaiian shirts!

MADINE MEUSE

This pattern is really CRAZY, isn't it?

W-E MADINE

It's not an original from the 40's because this kind of shirts can be sold for several thousand bucks...
This is a rayon replica made in Honolulu.

CADILLAC 1964

    1. I don't think I will sell a lot of my accessories... they are easy to stock and there are no problem of size with hats, jewels or purses :-)

*PS* Earlier this year, after wanting one for many years, I bought my first vintage patio dress. It's dusty rose and silver just like your patio/squaw skirt is here.

  13. I do not like convertible either... it's just so difficult to keep one's hair in nice shape in such a wind... But you managed it very well.
    Glamourous indeed but not practical!

  15. what a great day! i really love your light coloured look. it's perfectly summery ... i found a quite similar squaw skirt with top in green at one of the local thrift stores here in seattle but it had some ripped seams. i didn't want to pay the original price. hopefully it's still there in saturday (50s% off).
