Last hours of SUMMER....

It seems that summer is coming to an end...

We had a really sunny summer...

but on the first day of september it was already time to wear sweater and stocking!

Fall is definitively not one of my favorite season....

I saw with your comments that you will be really interested with a post about vintage men fashion...

Just to tell you that I'm working on it... must take a few weeks....

I tried another hairstyle in order to forget that gloomy weather...

Huge flowers on both sides, looked great I think, isn't it?

That matched perfectly my 50s dress....

White dress with pink roses.... I love floral patterns!!!

I like to choose accessories in order to improve a simple dress.

This vintage ones is quite plain,

but with black accessories and cute shoes...

that was an elegant and comfy oufit!

Sylvain also like to create his day outfits...

He's most of the time bolder than me....

He don't fear to match together strange colors or patterns...

Who would say that atomic can match plaid????

But it works!!!!

We have had recently a lot of problems with our cameras...

we have 2 LUMIX Panasonic that had really good feedbacks on the web...

but we want to shout at them all the time because of flaws on intern lenses... bad light... cannot focus... and one was bought only 1.5 years ago!

We need some tips if you have a good camera, I don't want a reflex one because they are too big but if your camera is compact and takes good pictures, please contact us!

What do you think of the upcoming fall ?
Are you pleased with your camera ?

Vintage BERET girl at DRIVE-IN...

Here are a few pictures from last month...

These pictures were taken around our village's Church.

I will speak about my outfit...

For once, Sylvain will not be on pictures...

but I'm thinking of a blog post only about men's vintage fashion

because I noted that a lot of girls that read that blog would want their men to have a more vintage style!

So, this dress is vintage from the early 50's.

I won it on Ebay just before our US trip in march...

There are less and less interesting auctions in Ebay, most are now in "buy it now"... bargains are rarer...

I love this color combo: purple and green!

You can see a detail of my lucite purse, a real bargain in an antique mall in Clovis, CA last year!

My Miss L Fire wedges... oh, did you see the preview of her new A/W collection?

That seems to be more 20-30's inspired... I'm hoping for some more 40's heels or nice winter boots!

All details of this dress are so gorgeous!

Pointy sleeves!!!

Large collar...

And the surprise is the back of the bodice!!!!

And a full skirt....!!!

What else to ask for a vintage dress???

For a french touch....

A cute purple beret found in a flea market!

We planned a special evening for that day...

Let's go to the drive-in movie theater!!!!

Do you guess what is the movie?

DIRTY DANCING of course!!!!

Did you won some interesting auctions on Ebay recently ?
Have you ever been to a drive-in ?

Our vintage 50s BATHROOM...

First, thanks for all your nice feedbacks for my 2nd blog anniversary...

It's now easy to keep the same motivation after so much posts...

177 posts... hours of hard working...

Harder and harder to find new topics and nice outfits to share...

Many followers asked me lately to share more about our house....

So here are a few pictures of our vintage bathroom...

The main colors are pink and black... my favorites ones!

A detail of my vintage night robe...

I prefer most of the time to make pictures outside because we don't have a Professional camera....

It's hard to have good light and colors with a compact one.

To speak more about our bathroom, it's still original from the early 60's...

We have just restored it and decorate it with some vintage items.

This japaneese scene is all original made in Vallauris.

Vallauris was the most famous kitchy french ceramic maker from the 50's-60's.

We added this cute 50's oriental lamp to match the ceramic.

All accessories are vintage in pink, gray or black shades.

A vintage heater for chilly winters!

Nice 50s lamps!

And my mermaids collection of course!!!

 The floor is also original!

And a few words about my outfit...

I have bought this 40's set just before vacations on Facebook.

I don't usually buy from FB groups because you don't have time to think most of the time...
Nice items are sold so fast, pictures are often not the best...

Do you also have a vintage style bathroom ?
Have you ever bought vintage clothes from a Facebook groups?
