Vintage umbrella for a lazy day...

What I really love in 40's-50's fashion are elegant suits and dresses but sometimes I'm too lazy to wear stockings and heels, especially when the weather is not the best...

So here is how I was dressed a few days ago...

I bought this shirt 4 years ago when I was in Honolulu, the brand is Kalakaua, made in Hawaii. This brand have existed for more than 50 years and do some nice 50's reproductions.

No heels, but flat shoes from the 40's. These were NOS when I bought them in Mamie vintage store in Paris many years ago...

No rainy day, without a pretty vintage umbrella!!! This was a present from my husband.I like to collect them, they were so beautiful nothing compared to our black nowadays ones....

I really like to match color together: pink and blue for this outfit!

This amazing brooch is from Erstwilder.

This charm bracelet is really nice looking but it's also make a nice noise....

This mohair cardigan is so warn, 50's NOS from Ebay bought many years ago but worn for the first time on these pictures... Jeans are also vintage from the 50's.

For my lazy days, I like to wear snood more and more and I'm planning to buy some more in a near future for more colors to match... You are good looking without really caring for your hair...

But what is Mister wearing when I feel too lazy to dress up????

A suit of course!!!!

My husband always want to be different... here with a suit from the 40's!

Why not a nice vintage fedora against rain?

Have you some treasures in your wardrobe that you never wore?
What do you wear when you feel lazy?

GUEST POST: Eva

Except my husband and I, there is somebody else who like to dress vintage at home... it's EVA!!!

Do you remember her?

I found her last december (here) and here is the outfit she wore for spring and summer...

A cute coton 40's summer suit... I really loved it but it was far too small for me!

Find the story of this nice hat here when I wore it!

Even if I love this mint and white suit, I thought it was time to change for a autumnal outfit...

There is a story behind this dress... I often measure old houses for my job and I often find a lot of abandoned stuffs in the attics...

I probably saved this dress from garbage... there were many other clothes from the XIXth century to the 40's where I found it but everything was in so poor condition: stains, incredible moths damage, years of dust...

I manage to hand wash it... but it's not in a wearable condition due to some holes, but it displays really nice, isn't it?

These purse and hat are present from my friend Christophe.
Eva borrowed her bakelite jewellery from me of course...

It's nice a have this kind of friend at home, she can wear what don't fit you or clothes that unfortunalty cannot be worn outside anymore...

Do you have a mannequin at home?
Have you ever saved some clothes from garbage?

EURO SPACE CENTER

Hi, folks!
This post is not about a vintage outfit or something linked to vintage... just about a fun day with my colleagues...

Once in a year, my bosses offer to all people in my firm a free day with fun activities and visits! This year, it was a visit to EURO SPACE CENTER in Belgium...

I really like everything about space conquest, that's so exciting! I was looking for learning more about that...

A new outfit and ...

the stars... here we are!!!!

Most of my colleagues are men... only 4 gals... but the best ones!
I have quite a man job, I am an engineer surveyor...

And here is our full team in front of Atlantis Orbiter scale 1:1.

First, we made a flight simulation to put a satelitte in orbit...

I was the commander of this mission....

I was in a dynamic simulator with my pilot... a girls team!

Our colleagues were in a control room...

I could not believe how much buttons there were in this kind of shuttle!!! Our mission was a success...

So we could experience a few steps on the Moon!!!!

Our body is 6 times lighter on the Moon than on Earth. You feel like a jumping kangooroo...!!!

I also made a balance test: 45s on a turning chair...

A really crazy experience....

There was a lot of stuff who belong to real astronauts.

The most frightening test was this one... yes, it's me inside! This machine simulates a uncontrollable shuttle entering into the atmosphere...

The most difficult part was to have to draw while turning in this crazy machine!!!

We also learnt a lot about constellations and stars in a planetarium.

Outside, there were many true and replica from space conquest...

Here is the famous Spoutnic...

We finished our day with a Russian restaurant...

to honor space pionners of course!!!

We spent a nice evening...

Trying all style of russish hats...

I only drank one Vodka glass...

but my colleagues enjoyed the full bottle...

Have you ever visited this kind of space center?
Do you often make fun stuff with your colleagues?
